Situated near the cosmopolitan town of Chania on the northwestern coast of the island of Crete, the four-star Aegean Palace Hotel overlooks one of the most beautiful beaches in Platanias. The Hotel is only a feet away of the amazing sandy beach of Pirgos Psilonerou between the endless beaches of Gerani and Maleme, just 1 km away from Gerani the official center of the newly established municipality of Platanias, 4 km from Platanias the most organized and popular tourist region of the district of Chania, 14 km from the city center of Chania, 27 km from the International Airport and 20 km from the Port of Souda.

Accommodation

The two-storey main building and six tow-storey buildings house a total of 99 spacious and comfortable guestrooms located at the complex’ most scenic point. There are: Standard Double or Twin-bedded rooms with pool or sea view. Superior Double or Twin-bedded rooms with private pool for full privacy, Family Junior Suites with side sea-view or garden view, Classic and Superior Junior Suites with sea view, Junior Suites with private pool, one Executive Junior Suite, VIP Suites and Superior suites with private pool and sea view for absolute privacy. All rooms and suites are really spacious and appointed with a variety of modern amenities including spacious bathroom and WC, hairdryer, air conditioning/heating, Satellite TV and music channels, fridge/mini bar, safe deposit box, direct dial phone and a large balcony or terrace.

The hotel’s main restaurant “Antiope”(indoor), serves a large choice of local and international dishes in buffet style (in low season), while the pool-side restaurant “Nefeli” (outdoor) offers a rich breakfast buffet, delicious a-la-carte lunch and a dinner buffet with exquisite options (in high season). Light snacks and refreshments can be enjoyed at the pool-side “Helios” snack-bar, while after dinner cocktails and refreshments are served at “Asteroessa” rooftop bar with spectacular views over the Cretan Sea. The facilities include a spacious lobby bar and lounge with Satellite TV corner, mini market, parking area, large swimming pool and separate children’s pool, children’s playground, sauna room, gym facilities, Wi-Fi connection, car rental, laundry and dry cleaning, Internet room, billiard, table tennis and darts.

At a short walk from the hotel, the beautiful sandy beaches of Maleme, Gerani and Platanias are ideal for a great variety of water sports and recreation.
